THE FREEMAN CENTER SENDS A HEARTY YASHER KOACH

NOTES ON THE ASSASSINATION OF TERRORISTS

1. The Israeli government has the right and duty to eliminate individuals actively engaged in either the planning or execution of terrorist acts against Israelis and Jews.

2. Terrorism knows no national boundaries and therefore counter-terrorism must recognize no borders.

3. The left-wing (Labor & Meretz) leaders and media in Israel are demonstrating their total disregard for Israeli security by launching an orgasm of criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over this issue. We saw this happen during the Lebanese war. The suicidal Oslo agreements they made with Arafat greatly undermined Israeli security and, in fact, led to more terrorism. For them to attack Bibi now is totally irresponsible. Have they forgotten the hit teams of Labor leaders like Golda Meir and Yitzhak Rabin?

4. Bibi has shown unfortunate weakness in the face of pressure from Jordan, Canada and the US. I will say more about this later.

5. I have one plea to all Israelis: Join ranks and fight terrorism together. When a bomb goes off in Jerusalem, the terrorist does not check first to see if the victims voted Labor or Likud........

JERUSALEM APARTMENTS OF MOSKOWITZ

I am very disappointed with the decision of the Israel Government to force the eviction of the Jewish families in Jerusalem. The "so-called compromise" is an insult to Jewish sovereignty in Israel's own capital.

There is a clear implication that the Israeli government ousted the Jews from their residence in Jerusalem under the legal precedent of "clear and present danger to the peace and security." Does anyone know of any plans by these residents to commit terrorist acts or to attack with stones, Molotov cocktails, or bullets the Arabs living in the vicinity? If they had such plans then they would represent a "danger."

On the other hand, I believe, that if the Arabs were planning disruptions of public safety and order, then it is the Arabs who should be ousted. Let us be moral, legal and in all ways just. To blame the potential victim for the crime of the criminal does not satisfy the Biblical injunction to deal justly with your fellow man. Bibi: take note.

JEWISH RIGHTS

The Freeman Center supports the RIGHT of Jews to live anywhere in Eretz Yisrael and condemns government and opposition spokesmen who claim such acts will result in violence. It is the Israeli government's job to protect the peace and tranquility of its citizens. If any Arab should perpetrate violence, incite to violence or in any way violate the law they should arrested and prosecuted for such crimes of violence. We realize that the Arabs do not like Jews living in Jerusalem as neighbors. We suggest they find somewhere else to live. Perhaps Jordan or Saudi Arabia, where there are no Jews, since they have long since been banned, expelled or murdered.

SUICIDE BOMBERS AND ISRAELI GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITY

The Freeman Center sends condolences to the families of the victims of today's triple suicide bombing on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem. At the same time we must accuse the Israeli government of dereliction of duty and perhaps also negligent homicide for continuing the Oslo Suicide Process. The Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has at its disposal a powerful military and has good intelligence that a group of people plan to murder its citizens. When that government fails to act, then it is negligent. This is what continues to happen in Israel.

How many times have we heard demands from the Netanyahu government that "Arafat must fight terrorism?"

How many times has this government published lists of Palestinian Authority non-compliance with the terms of the Oslo Accords?

How many warnings have been issued to Arafat?

The Freeman Center has repeatedly broadcast the truth through many public forums. That truth is a simple concept: The fox can not guard the chickens. The wolf will not cohabit with the sheep and not make a meal of them. Arafat is doing his job quite well. He is killing Jews, which is his claim to fame. The job of protecting Israelis and fighting terrorism rightfully belongs to the Israel Defense Forces ALONE. To believe that this job could be subcontracted out to world renown Jew killers was always a delusion.

The Oslo Accords were always the Kevorkian Plan with the U.S. President and State Department assisting Israel to commit suicide. At least half of the population of Israel and a much greater proportion of American Jews have accepted this plan voluntarily, some with enthusiasm. That of course makes the Kevorkian comparison even more accurate.

I have just one question for all of those supporters of Israeli suicide: How many dead Jews will it take for you to see the HARSH REALITY? How many body parts strewn across Israeli streets will it take for you to RE- EVALUATE the wisdom of making a pact with the DEVIL. Remember as Faust pointed out: When you deal with the devil, you lose your soul.

Netanyahu was elected on a platform opposed to Oslo, terrorism, and lack of reciprocity. I say to him now: DO IT. I say it loud and I will say it often. I pray he hears the message and acts accordingly.

MY WASHINGTON TRIP

I am pleased to report that I found tremendous understanding for our position in the Congress. Because of the huge backlog of mail (E and postal) on my desk, I will have to write a more detailed report next week. Let me just say that there has been a watershed change in Congress toward Israel and Oslo. The latter being recognized as DEAD by key leaders. Since May of 1995, we have been sending THE MACCABEAN to key members of the House and Senate who deal with foreign policy and security.

Although we did not get much feedback during those years since 1995, but I found out in Washington, during my recent visit, that it was being read. And, most important -- over time, slowly but surely, it has been an important tool for change and education. We are not the only one involved. AFSI has been vigorous in its efforts as have other organizations like ZOA, Jewish Action Alliance, CAMERA & YESHA, AMCHAI and Women in Green. For all of you who have been frustrated, let me say:

"Things are changing -- our work has not been vain."

I LEFT WASHINGTON, REINVIGORATED AND REDEDICATED TO, AND ESPECIALLY MORE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT OUR BATTLE FOR THE SECURITY AND SURVIVAL OF ISRAEL.

Of course, NOW we must bring the Israeli government and Bibi to the realization that he will have the support of the Congress, should he take the difficult steps necessary to ensure the survival and well being of Israel. (And, of course, that he should no longer use the excuse of American pressure for continuing the Kevorkian Process (Oslo).

MY MESSAGE TO BIBI AT THE NEW YEAR

THE CONGRESS WILL SUPPORT ANY ACTION OF YOUR GOVERNMENT NECESSARY FOR THE SECURITY AND SURVIVAL OF ISRAEL.

I realize that there will be pressure (maybe great pressure) from the State Department and the President in relation to Oslo. If you will stand firm and clearly enunciate a policy that will provide security and survival for Israel, the American people and their representatives in Congress WILL SUPPORT YOU. You are facing primarily psychological pressure. You must be able to stand eyeball to eyeball and say NO when necessary to a great power.
