ISRAEL'S 'FUTILE GESTURES'
By Charles Bybelezer September 6, 2012 -Daily Mailer, FrontPage Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to extend well-wishes on the occasion of Id al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan. He did so despite the fact that Abbas continues to shun negotiations with the Jewish state and again has threatened to pursue a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood at the UN General Assembly in September. Netanyahu’s “goodwill gesture” reportedly was followed by similar phone calls to Abbas by Israeli envoy Yitzhak Molcho and Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak. Molcho also called PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayyad. The calls came on the heels of other goodwill gestures made by Israel over the last few months aimed at coaxing the Palestinians back to the negotiating table; including, but not limited to: 1. The issuance of thousands of additional Israeli work permits to Palestinian laborers; 2. The advance to the PA on the eve of Ramadan of approximately NIS 200 million in levies collected by Israel on behalf of the Palestinians so that government salaries could be paid; 3. The signing of an economic accord with the PA in order to enhance trade; 4. The signing of a deal to end a hunger strike by Palestinians jailed in Israel, in which Israel even agreed to allow convicted terrorists to pursue academic studies; 5. The tabling of an offer, confirmed by PA Minister of Prisoner Affairs Issa Qaraqe, to release in four stages 125 Palestinian security prisoners, many of whom were convicted of murdering Israelis (the proposal was summarily rejected by Abbas, who demanded the prisoners be released simultaneously); 6. The transfer to the PA of the bodies of approximately 90 deceased terrorists, whose remains subsequently were glorified en masse in official ceremonies. Continue reading "ISRAEL'S 'FUTILE GESTURES' "

YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE
by Jack Berger Member of the Board of Directors Freeman Center For Strategic Studies October 17, 2011 “You are standing today, all of you (all generations) before Hashem, your G-d, from the heads of your tribes, your elders… your children… from the (highest) in society… to the drawer of your water, for you to pass into the covenant Hashem, your G-d in order to establish you today as a people to Him and that He will be a G-d to you… I call on heaven and earth today to bear witness against you. I have placed life and death before you, a blessing and a curse, you shall choose life so that you will live… to dwell on the land that I swore to your forefathers (to your fathers and grandfathers) and to Abraham, Isaac and to Jacob.” (Deut. 29-30) Looking at the world today I think back to the words of Charles Dickens, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us…” When I first read those words in high school, I believed that they were far removed from the rest of my life. America was in a simpler place. My only serious question was why wouldn’t Sandy Koufax pitch the first game of the World Series … after all was Yom Kippur really that big a deal and it wasn’t like he wore a kippah and kept kosher. It was a time when questions hadn’t been asked yet and didn’t need to be answered. Today has caught up with yesterday. For me, years before my Bar Mitzvah, I remember the words on our Day of Atonement. Words when secular Jewish friends of mine only came to synagogue one day a year – would show up on Yom Kippur to hear– “who will live and who will die…” The profundity of that one line and its finite reality, its focus, its simple yet unambiguous statement… is a statement that few Jews can turn away from or forget. The gift we have been given is the gift of time – money comes, money goes, our days are moments as part of an eternity that we are only blessed to know for a very short time. ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION ORDERS AGAINS JEWISH NATIONALISTS
by ADINA KUTNICKI Freeman Center For Strategic Studies September 26, 2011 (Editor’s Note: The author variously uses the terms GSS [General Security Services], Shin Bet, Shabak, ISA [Israel Security Agency]. They are all names for Israel’s internal security service.] In western democracies, a person’s home is considered his castle. Therefore, if a government banishes a citizen from his home, the act must be based on a judicious interpretation of the law. The detainee must present a clear and present danger. Chief Justice Aharon Barak, previous president of the Supreme Court, underscored his belief in this principle, albeit not from a perspective which protects the rights of Jewish nationalists. On July 15, 2002, Justice Barak ruled in the Ajuri case: ”Our point of departure is that in principle removing a person from his dwelling place and forcibly moving him someplace else causes serious harm to his self respect, his freedom, and his possessions. A person’s home is not only a roof over his head, it is the means for establishing his physical and social relationships. A number of a person’s basic human rights are harmed when he is forcibly removed to another place , even if such a move does not involve an international crossing.” Tragically, his legal opinion was rendered in relation to the protection of the civil and human rights of terrorists! The security services recommended their expulsion from Nablus to Gaza, and the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the terrorists. Even the pro-Arab B’tselem human rights organization is unhappy about administrative detention/expulsion orders, stating: “Undoubtedly the state should act determinedly against ‘settlers’ who harm Palestinians and their property, but the way to achieve this is via criminal proceedings and not administrative orders that are based on confidential information.” Continue reading "ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION ORDERS AGAINS JEWISH NATIONALISTS" Monday, August 23. 2010ISLAM, THE FALSE MASK OF RELIGION
ISLAM, THE FALSE MASK OF RELIGION
By Emanuel A. Winston, Freeman Center Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies Auust 22, 2010 Religion, when taught and practiced with restraint and decency, is a valuable – ever irreplaceable – guide for humankind. However, when a specific religion teaches its children to hate and kill, then it cannot be defended as a religion. Then it is a “blood/death cult”, practicing child abuse on their own children. History is replete with confirmed accounts of nations and their particular religion being used as a reason for conquest, looting the victim society, forced conversion of the conquered society and, finally, mass extermination of all those who resist. Some self-anointed religions are merely pagans who worship idols and gods whom their Priest Cult interprets as the wishes of their panoply of gods. The only limitations on their practices would be the creative imaginations of their Priest Cults. Human sacrifice was common then and, strangely, it last into present time. NIDAL MALIK HASAN MASSACRE AT FORT HOOD - WHAT DOES IT MEAN? by Emanuel A. Winston, Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies November 6, 2009 Is there any doubt that G-d is fulfilling the promise He made to Avraham: "I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee." ? Has President Barack Obama brought this promised curse to America as he bonds with radical Islamists and attacks Israel on their behalf? Muslims in America are a dangerous element in our nation, despite the political dance, firstly by President George W. Bush and now by President Barack Hussein Obama to assure us that Muslims and Islam are perfectly safe for Americans. Did today’s November 5th massacre at Fort Hood, Texas prove that wrong? The shooter was named as Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim psychiatrist who objected to being posted to either war in Iraq or Afghanistan. Reportedly, Hasan killed 11 and wounded 31 with 2 handguns - at a soldiers’ collection point and processing center for those being organizing to leave for either front or returning stateside and being processed. For the first several hours it was reported that Hasan had been killed in the shoot-out, but later reports say he was shot multiple times but, HE IS SAID Continue reading "NIDAL MALIK HASAN MASSACRE AT FORT HOOD - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?"

LECTURE ON ISRAEL FUTURE SECURITY AND SURVIVAL
by Bernard J. Shapiro Freeman Center For Strategic Studies www.freeman.org Labor Day - September 7, 2009 Thank you Dr. Frank and Alice Lanza for giving me the financial and moral support to make this evening possible. A special warm thanks to my old friends Rabbi Jack Segal and Dr. Richard H. Rolnick. Both of you mean more to me than words can explain. I have learned and grown over the years by being close to you. Through good and bad times your words of wisdom have motivated me to keep working for Israel. INTRODUCTION In 1934, Harry W. Freeman, my grandfather, was already lecturing about the dangers of Hitler and Nazism. Nobody listened. The Holocaust was not prevented. Today, in 2009 there are 1.9 billion Arab & Moslem people who plan a second Holocaust against the Jews of Israel and the world. The governments and people of Europe not only acquiesce but actively aid in this genocidal plan through diplomatic and material support. The American State Department encourages the Arabs by actively striving to weaken Israel’s strategic and military superiority. Their first stage is to use the so called “peace process” to weaken Israel and strip it of its strategic territories. They are being aided by the same hypocrites and accomplices in the West who failed to aid the Jews of Europe in their darkest hour. Unfortunately, even left-wing Israelis have fallen victims to the seductive lure of peace and have begun a policy of appeasement similar to that tried with Hitler. The results will be no different. The Arab propaganda full of slanders and libels; the media bias against Israel replete with double standards and the rewriting of history are all working to the same end: the de-legitimation of Israel. Israel is the only country considered by many to be GUILTY OF ORIGINAL SIN by virtue of its very existence. This process of de-legitimation has as its goal creating a world climate in which the DESTRUCTION of Israel is acceptable. Many in the Jewish community are either apathetic or fail to recognize this threat. Fortunately the Jews have new allies in the Evangelical Christian Community and in the Hindu community that has suffered Moslem depredations for about1400 years. LET THE FREEMAN CENTER TAKE OVER THE ISRAELI FOREIGN MINISTRY
War Crimes Charges Grow, Jerusalem Silent by Bernard J. Shapiro Freeman Center For Strategic Studies February 27, 2009 FOR THE SAKE OF ISRAEL WE MUST DRAFT THE FREEMAN CENTER TO HANDLE PUBLIC RELATION FOR THE JEWISH STATE. THE FOREIGN MINISTRY HAS CAUSED GREAT DAMAGE TO THE GOOD NAME OF ISRAEL. I WOULD AGREE TO LET THE OFFICE WORKERS THERE CONTINUE TO TAKE CARE OF VISAS AND TOURISM (LIVNI LOVED TO SHOW ISRAEL, NOT AS LAND OF THE BIBLE, BUT AS SEXY BIKINI CLAD ISRAELI GIRLS). THE FREEMAN CENTER CAN DO THE FOLLOWING: 1. Put up a vigorous Zionist defense of Israel at one tenth of one percent (0.01) the cost of the entire Israeli Foreign Ministry. 2. And they can do it with NO guilt feelings 3. They can do this with NO apologies to the World, USA, EU, Arabs, Muslims, UN for breathing the oxygen of Planet Earth. And, of course, being the only indigenous people living in its natural HOME, With the deed signed by the Almighty as a perpetual trust. 4. How do I know the Freeman Center can do all of above??? It is simple, we have been doing it since 1992. The RECORD is there. Go to www.freeman.org and see over 70,000 pages of the best news and commentary on Israel in THE MACCABEAN ONLINE www.freeman.org/online.htm During this same period, the Israel Foreign Ministry devoted all of its resources to: a. Promoting the "tooth fairy" of Peace with Barbarians who want to destroy us. b. Undermining organization like the Freeman Center and myself personally who defended Israel's undiminished right to self-defense, security and survival in the dangerous world we find ourselves. c. Helping to tie the hands of the IDF and endangering the lives of our most precious commodity (our sons and daughters) to save the lives of Arabs, who wish us dead. They have accepted and defended the concept of restraint (havlagah) or "purity of arms." There is nothing pure or sacred about sacrificing Jewish blood on the ALTER of Left-wing pseudo-morality. Our enemies worship death -so help them achieve it. We believe in life - so let us save our own. Please see articles below Still a frustrated Zionist, after all these years--- Who still loves Israel and prays to HaShem that REALITY begin to be a guiding principle of Israeli policy. HASBARA AND REALITY
by Bernard J. Shapiro Jewish Herald-Voice (Houston) June 1993 THE JERUSALEM POST reported last month on plans at the Israeli Foreign Ministry to abolish its "hasbara" or information efforts. It reported, "The decision to abolish hasbara is in keeping with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres' view that 'if you have good policy, you do not need hasbara. And if you have bad policy, hasbara will not help.'" Those of us who have been in the trenches, fighting Arab propaganda for years, were stunned by this policy change. Most of all, we were stunned by this apparently incorrect perception of reality. The propaganda battlefield, from which the Foreign Ministry seems eager to withdraw, is a surreal Kafkaesque landscape filled with the evil utterances of that unholy alliance of Arabs and anti-Semites. Their propaganda targets the Jewish community in America as well as Israel for a one simple reason: Anything that weakens the Jewish community and reduces their status in America ultimately limits the ability of Jews to aid Israel politically and financially. George Orwell would be quite at home with the "newspeak" of the "politically correct" bigots. Language, history, and religion become a twisted mass of bizarre concepts such as Zionism = racism. THE GAZA STRIP-TEASE
by Irwin N. Graulich Freeman Center For Strategic Studies January 11, 2009 Let's strip this fight down to the actual bare facts. You elect a Nazi-like terrorist government, (and I use the comparison precisely), whose primary goal and charter is the destruction of the state of Israel. They create schools where textbooks expound on the concept of Jews and Christians being monkeys and enemies of Islam who must be destroyed. They establish summer camps that teach 7 year olds the virtues of becoming suicide bombers, actually constructing a sample vest model complete with dynamite sticks, in arts & crafts. They continue to publicly describe Jews on radio, tv and newspapers as something lower than vermin, all of whom must be exterminated. They spend all their time building tunnels and smuggling weapons to kill innocent civilians in Israel, instead of building businesses and a better life. They fire rockets regularly into Israeli towns and cities to goad Israel into a short-lived response that ultimately becomes a pr coup. They have weekly parades attended by upwards of 100,000 people screaming, "We will destroy the Zionist criminal pigs," and much worse. ANTI-SEMITIC JOURNALISTS UPSET THEY CAN’T GET INTO GAZA TO WRITE BIASED STORIES
by Emanuel A. Winston, Freeman Center Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies January 8, 2009 Israel will not allow foreign journalists into Gaza. (1) The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) want to protect them. They also want to avoid having Hamas target them, and then blaming the Israelis. The anti-Semitism of the foreign press corp is Israel is legendary. Repeated instances of outright misrepresentation, distortion and staging events for the cameras are well known. The TV station - France 2 just broadcast a video of toddlers being laid out on a white sheet. The only problem was that scene occurred in 2005 when a Hamas ammunition truck exploded while on parade in Gaza. When they speak freely, such as was heard on a BBC panel of January 7th when Robert Fisk of the INDEPENDENT gave vent to his vicious views, their bias, if not hatred comes readily apparent. He has also published his vile and false accusations. The Israeli voice on this panel (for balance), Gil Hoffman of the JERUSALEM POST was literally pushed out by the BBC announcer who said he had to leave. Hoffman said: "No, I don’t." The BBC moderator let him stay for another 10 minutes and then evicted him. Others on the panel were a clearly anti-Semitic Professor and a presenter for Al Jezzera TV. NPR: NATIONAL "PALESTINE" RADIO
by Emanuel A. Winston, Freeman Center Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies January 4, 2008 Suddenly, NPR, National Public Radio, is interested in the details of "fear from bombs". Through the years, when the Arab Muslim Palestinians were engaged in suicide bombing of Israeli marketplaces, restaurants, family celebrations, buses - wherever civilians gathered - NPR barely expressed interest in the Terror and feelings of Israeli victims. That's why they call NPR - National "Palestine" Radio. When Hamas Palestinian Arab Muslims began its daily firing of Kassam Rockets, Katyusha Missiles and Mortars, including Grad missiles from Iran, an onslaught of Terror rained down on Southern Israel for 7 years. But, NPR showed only enough interest so it could tell Congress who funds them: "See, we are reporting the news." THE COSMETIC NON-SOLUTION TO GAZA
by David Basch Freeman Center For Strategic Studies January 2, 2009 Herb Keinon's RECENT Jerusalem Post article analyzing the leftist Israeli government tactics in Gaza was not very assuring. True, Keinon told of this government's desire to degrade, discredit, and remove Hamas from power in Gaza. But what Keinon doesn't discuss is what this government intends afterward. This leftist government wants to eliminate Hamas so it can surrender the area to Abbas's Fatah group and then proceed to surrender Israel's Eastern territories to them for a Palestinian Arab state. What this government wants is a cosmetic, inconclusive settlement that superficially looks good so that it can pose as the savior of Israel and win the next election. Many rightly suspect that there is a great deal of collusion going on in the background with Israel, the Arabs, and with the US to make this happen. Continue reading "THE COSMETIC NON-SOLUTION TO GAZA" Thursday, January 1. 2009DISPROPORTIONATE AGAIN
DISPROPORTIONATE AGAIN
by Christopher Barder Freeman Center For Strategic Studies January 1, 2009 In an echo of the condemnations of the summer 2006 counterattack on Hisballah, Israel has again been condemned for its strikes against terrorist targets in Gaza. Let us be clear: there is no "occupation" of Gaza by Israeli forces; there are no settlements of Jews living there any more; terrorism is not a name for "freedom fighters" since by definition it means attacking civilian targets for political/religious or quasi political purposes and Hamas’s rockets are part of an assault against Israel’s existence. Hamas is not interested in conference induced peaceful solutions. Article 13 of Hamas’s Charter declares: "Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement. Abusing any part of Palestine is abuse directed against part of religion. Nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its religion. Its members have been fed on that…. There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with." Israel has never targeted civilians; almost uniquely it has made provision to provide the other side’s people with medical and other humanitarian relief despite their constantly polling a minimum of 50% in favour of attacks on Israeli civilians. It has maintained warnings even to the extent of leaving voicemail messages to Gazans not to stay near arms placements (in their homes or elsewhere) because of future attacks. This limits the element of surprise to timing, as opposed to tactical operations, to some degree. Some of these practices may be regarded by some hard-nosed military personnel elsewhere, as excessively diligent, especially if they do not recognise the necessity of "purity of arms" doctrines. It has been well observed that "Western armies are engaged in asymmetric warfare against the Taliban in Afghanistan and Al-Qaeda in Iraq, yet no such statements are made with regard to these legitimate battles in the war on terrorism."1 Continue reading "DISPROPORTIONATE AGAIN" Thursday, December 4. 2008TRUTH ABOUT THE HOUSE OF PEACE (HEBRON) THE LEFT DESTROYS
TRUTH ABOUT THE HOUSE OF PEACE (HEBRON) THE LEFT DESTROYS
By Avi Dobuler Freeman Center For Strategic Studies December 4, 2008 This is the story, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. A few years ago our Moslem Arab cousins/peace partners in the dark attacked worshippers returning Saturday night/motsay Shabbat from prayers at the Cave of the Patriarchs. Funds had been allocated to to develop the connecting path with among other things better lighting, etc, but the intention hadn't been implimented. After the devastating attack with its murder & maiming of Jews including the highest ranking soldier Brigade commander, Colonel Dror Weinberg- may G-d avenge his and their blood, the settlers wanted to put up houses along the path in an empty field to better provide security in the area. The Jews set up the beginnings of a "maachaz" tents as a prelude to building. The government protested promising the protection of its citizens by putting up a guarded watchtower. After shiva, the 7 days of morning, for all intensive purposes, the tower, while remaining is usually vacant - all show- but no substance. NEW YORK TIMES NATIONAL SUICIDE NOTE FOR ISRAEL
by Emanuel A. Winston, Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies August 21, 2008 Once again, the New York Times demonstrates its anti-Israel pro-Arab bias. As radical Islamic "Jihadists" (holy warriors for Islam) rage across the globe, the New York Times offers a national suicide note, drafted for the Israeli Leftists to leave behind if and when she takes their advice to become a corpse. The August 18th NYT editorial "Perils of Israeli Transition" is a ‘spin’, telling us how PM Ehud Olmert is on the right track in dividing the Jewish nation to accommodate a non-people called ‘Palestinians’ who support Terror and the elimination of the Jewish State. So, let’s go over the NYT suicide note: First, we are told that history is unlikely to be kind to Ehud Olmert, implying that he will be unfairly treated for what most consider the most corrupt and incompetent government Israel has ever had. In the next paragraph, editorial spin tell us that, according to the NYT, Olmert understood that a two-state solution was vital for Israel’s security. That this scurrilous, anti-Semitic journal expresses concern about Israel’s security is laughable, considering their unbroken track record of anti-Jewish bias going back as far as WW2, when they either refused to cover the Nazi Holocaust or when they spun the information by saying ‘unconfirmed reports suggest casualties’. DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF GEORGIAN INDEPENDENCE
MAY ISRAEL LEARN THE LESSONS OF HISTORY SO AS NOT TO REPEAT THE MISTAKES OF THE PAST. THE NATURE OF PEACE AND PEACE TREATIES By Bernard J. Shapiro (1993, 1994, 1995) Freeman Center For Strategic Studies August 17, 2008 Great issues of war and peace as related to Israel are being debated by Jews across America. Israelis are debating the same issues among themselves. There are strong opinions on both sides of the Atlantic as well as both sides of the major issues. What seems to be lacking in all these discussions is the proper historical context. Professor Paul Eidelberg of Bar-Ilan University, reviews the historical facts. Between 1945 and 1978 the longest time without a war going on someplace was a mere 26 days. On an average day there are 12 wars being fought somewhere on earth. The consensus of scholars has been that the norm of international relations is not peace but war. As Eidelberg reports, "Indeed, the occurrence of 1,000 wars during the last 2,500 years indicates that "peace" is little more than a preparation for war. Which means that peace treaties are WORTHLESS, to say the least." After all, I’m used to the Foggy Folks doing such things as fighting President Truman over his supporting Israel’s very rebirth; concocting latter day Arafatian Fatah “good cops” to force down Israel’s throat (knowing that on the issue of a permanent Jewish Israel, Abbas’s boys totally agree with the Hamas “bad cops”); demanding that Israel itself supply weapons to Fatah--which has as much, if not more, Jewish blood on its hands than Hamas--only to see such things as yeshiva students later massacred as a result; setting up equivalency standards whereby murderer and those in pursuit are placed on the same moral plane; and so forth. BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA’S TRIP TO THE "WEST BANK"
by Emanuel A. Winston, Middle East Analyst & Commentator Freeman Center For Strategic Studies - July 17, 2008 Barack Hussein Obama is about to make a trip of apology to Mahmoud Abbas for saying to AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) that Jerusalem should remain an undivided city. (1) The next day he flipped like a flap-jack after angry statements by Islamic "Jihadists" and, especially, from Mahmoud Abbas of the Fatah ‘Palestinians’, current President of the ‘Palestinian Authority’. Obama has more than 2 sides as does a flap-jack - otherwise known as "flipping a two-sided pancake". Presently, Obama is going to apologize and assure Abbas (aka Abu Mazen), that he made a ‘mistake’ in speaking about Jerusalem as a "single sovereign city of the Jewish State". Obama wants to convince the Arab Muslim Palestinians that he really meant that a divided city so a ‘non-people’ could realize their dream that Jerusalem must belong only to them, to be only their capital and, therefore, legitimize the invention of a "Palestinian people of Arab extraction". By Arlene Peck Freeman Center For Strategic Studies March 26, 2008 The news, recently, has been filled with revelations about Barack Hussein Obama, otherwise known as the man who would be President. Of course, I have been calling him the Manchurian Candidate-in-waiting for months. It’s nice that the national news media has started paying attention to the very dubious and sinister background of this man. Heaven knows how this will play out. People have become so dumbed down. I called an Israeli friend of mine who has been expounding on the glories of Obama since the first of the exposés of the Presidential candidate hit the evening news. I said, “See! I told you so! The man is dangerous and not to be trusted.” Her answer was, “I still think him a wonderful man. I know that you’re from Atlanta and people from the South feel differently about black people.” I shouted back, “It’s not a black thing! It’s a character thing! It’s about standards! Do you really want a President of the United States who has conversations three times a week with Rev. Al Sharpton and who has to go on FOX News to defend himself?" Continue reading "Race Card? HOW SECURE ARE JEWS IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD?
by Dr. Irving Kett Colonel, U.S. Army, Retired Freeman Center For Strategic Studies February 6, 2008 One of the most significant milestones in Jewish history has recently taken place. The largest Jewish community in the world today lives in Israel. Within about ten years, it is anticipated, that in Israel will live the majority of World Jewry for the first time in 2,000 years. About 20 years ago I read a book by an author whose name escapes me. The approximate title of the book was, Uncomfortable Questions for too Comfortable American Jews that deeply impressed me. It describes how we Jews have a predilection for avoiding looking at our own situation and the world that we live in realistically. It is for that reason that Jews are continuously looking to help other people, such as those in Darfur and all the other unfortunate Hopttentots of the world, while purposely avoiding to examine the dangers and challenges confronting their own existence. We today face a serious worldwide recrudescence of anti-Semitism, the likes of which has not existed since the 1940's. I firmly believe that we, our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are confronted with a repeat of the tremulous year of 1938 and the subsequent tragedies that befell the Jewish people. In my opinion our only possible salvation is to strengthen the State of Israel demographically, physically, militarily, and spiritually. Psychologists claim that between 3 to 1/3 of Jews are so emotionally traumatized by centuries of persecution and discrimination that they reject their own heritage and immerse themselves instead in the culture and problems of other people, even when the latter groups vehemently reject them and pour scorn and abject hatred upon them. Bush on the evening of January 28, 2008. They should alarm and awaken anyone not yet alarmed for Israel and the Divine Providence to which it witnesses. About two-thirds of the way through the fifty minute address, a series of applause-prompting lines as has become common the past fifteen years, Mr. Bush made several references to “the President of Palestine” noting that he “is a leader with whom the democratically elected leaders of Israel can work toward peace. The “Palestinians” were mentioned several times (this is not new) as if there is such a people and, alarmingly for a State of the Union, their “State,” to be brought into existence “by the end of this year” was greeted by a prolonged standing ovation. There were many standing ovations but few that drew all members of Congress (Supreme Court Justices and the Joint Chiefs of Staff are among other high profile regular attendees) to their feet for lengthy cheers. As the applause mounted and continued, Condoleeza Rice, sitting on the front role center aisle seat looked around with a basilisk stare as if to see if anyone might not be standing and applauding. E.U. WILL USE NATO TO TAKE ISRAEL
by Emanuel A. Winston Middle East Analyst & Commentator Some time ago I noticed a small article in U.S. Defense News about the Europeans ‘somehow’ planning to employ NATO as their military arm as a Rapid Response Force. My alarm bells started ringing that this was a threshold move to gather sufficient military power to cross the Mediterranean Sea and occupy the Jewish nation of Israel, claiming it was a "necessary move toward regional peace" - for the good of all". Nothing in that small article suggested that there was a far greater ‘Game Plan’, intended to pacify the Arab and Muslim oil nations by driving the Jews either onto a smaller sliver of land, as originally proposed by the U.N. or to extinction....whatever was doable first. That translates to seeing that which was not supposed to be seen. Sometimes clues expose the intentions without the hard evidence of what is called the "‘smoking gun". So, let’s start accumulating the bits and pieces which, by themselves, don’t tell all of the story but point us in the right direction. Continue reading "E.U. Arab Casualties? Remember Dresden: End of Story
by Prof. Eugene Narrett 9 July 2006 Stopping for gasoline this evening (after taking out another mortgage to finance the trip to the grocery store, gas and food), while paying I heard a female BBC newsperson nattering an Israeli official of some sort about the deaths of some "Palestinians" in Gaza. The poor fellow was sputtering, straining for justifications without straying from the corral of leftist, 'peace process' categories of thought and word which send Israel to the incinerator every time. Rubbish and damnation ! Especially when talking to a Brit about collateral damage during war (and that's what the jihadists have been doing to Jews for six years, minimum, shooting rockets within the borders of pre 1967 Israel. Terrorism Without "Occupation": Some Lessons From
The Early Arab Pogroms by Steven Plaut May 12, 2006 The Bash-Israel media and the Arab terrorist amen chorus have been repeating for so many years that Palestinian terrorism and barbarism are caused by Israeli "occupation" that few are still capable of examining that "theory" critically. The simple fact is that Palestinian terrorism and atrocities against Jews began not only long before Israel "occupied" the West Bank and Gaza, but long before Israel was created. Examining those early waves of violence can shed enormous light on the Middle East conflict even today and help us understand its true nature. There were waves of attacks against Jews in Palestine throughout the 1920.s . the Jewish population of Hebron was destroyed by Arab terrorists in 1929. Palestine at the time was part of the British Mandate. While a few hundred thousand Arabs lived in there in the 1930.s, it had never been an Arab Palestinian state, and in fact had not been under any form of Arab rule since the Dark Ages. The Jihad of the Israeli Left
by Steven Plaut Arutz Sheva - March 20, 2006 In the campaign in the UK to organize an academic boycott of Israeli universities, led by the British Association of University Teachers (AUT), it turned out that a fanatic anti-Israel faculty member at an Israeli university, Ilan Pappe from the University of Haifa, was the driving force. He was seeking to create a boycott of his own university. That boycott campaign ultimately fizzled and failed. But the attempts by radical anti-Israel faculty members in Israel to promote attacks on their own country continue. Recent campaigns are in some ways more outrageous and far worse than the earlier boycott initiative. The newest campaigns are directed against individual Israelis in their private capacity and are being promoted by some of the most openly anti-Semitic of Israel's academic extremists. Israel's Uninformed Electorate
Israel's Uninformed Electorate
by Caroline Glick THE JERUSALEM POST - Mararch 20, 2006 On the eve of the Knesset elections, Israel faces multiple challenges. Hamas, in appointing technocrats and terrorists to run its new government is showing that it is possible to learn from the Nazi model of governance. Even genocidal mass murderers who seduce their societies with delusions of racial and religious supremacy can receive international acclaim if they make the trains run on time. Israel's political spectrum is divided between the Left, represented by Kadima and the Right represented by Likud. Kadima wishes to contend with the Hamas threat by making a public show of shunning Hamas while surrendering Judea and Samaria to the terror organization. The Likud points out that surrendering Judea and Samaria to Hamas will make it impossible to defend the rest of the country. Since Likud doesn't think that Israel should surrender its right to defend itself by turning its heartland over to a global terrorist organization which together with Fatah and Islamic Jihad has already murdered over 1,100 Israelis and remains committed to annihilating Israel, it objects to surrendering any territory to Hamas. DOUBLE STANDARD FOR ISRAEL IN MEDIA & POLITICS
by Gerald A. Honigman A few years back during this trying time of the year in the Daytona Beach area of Florida, I penned an article ("Makos, Kristof, and Bike Week") which focused on the hypocrisy and double standards the liberal, left wing press habitually practices towards the Jew of the Nations. Not that I'm in love with extreme right kooks either, but the former have become more of a problem of late than the latter since respected circles--such as those in academia--tend to give them more credibility. Coming right after the world famous Daytona 500 NASCAR race in this town, and just before most of the college spring breakers arrive, Bike Week brings with it scores of thousands of motor cyclists from all over the world...and the traffic snarls and noise that accompany them as well...Lovely. While I'm sure it has nothing to do with the bikers' thunder, The New York Times' syndicated columnist Nicholas Kristof seems to vent some of his own particularly hot air around this season as well. A few years back (late February 2004), for example, he wrote a piece about double standards which appeared in our local news version of the problem being described here in which he complained about Israel's security fence, Arabs allegedly being given no alternatives (to their barbarity), and such. The paper's editors typically spout the same lines, and this prompted my own response mentioned above. Arab Lies, Gullible Jews, Passionate Anti-Semites
by Jack Berger The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism."—Zahir Muhsein, PLO executive committee member, in an interview with the Dutch newspaper "Trouw," March 31, 1977. THE HOLOCAUST AND ZIONCIDE
Anne Bayefsky Feb. 3, 2006 http://www.eyeontheun.org/editor.asp?p=181&b=1 On January 27, 2006, the United Nations General Assembly was filled with more than a thousand Jews who were there to mark the UN's first annual "International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust." Only a month earlier, the same hall had been filled with UN member states repeatedly demonizing the Jewish state. What is going on? One answer would run something like this: the Secretary-General bought himself and his organization some good will at very little cost; Israel's foreign ministry brought home a deliverable product in contrast to the empty hands most other days of the year; the naďve and neglected victims of anti-semitism enjoyed warm feelings about being appreciated and recognized on a global scale. ISRAEL’S NUCLEAR DETERRENT #1: Israel’s Nuclear Policy Fiasco after Its Hamas Contretemps forwarded with comments by Emanuel A. Winston After you read the following perhaps HaShem’s mandate that "Israel is a Nation who must dwell alone" will be understood. Israel has been sold out for a cheap trick to bring Iran to the Security Council where nothing will happen. Please watch for a follow-on article, entitled "THE DE-NUCLEARIZATION OF ISRAEL". Comments by Emanuel Winston DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis February 4, 2006, 11:34 PM DEBKAfile - Israel’s Nuclear Policy Fiasco after Its Hamas Contretemps Washington and the European Union are congratulating themselves on getting 27 of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s 35 members to refer the Iranian nuclear program to the UN Security Council. This is still a long way from sanctions. But the diplomatic achievement was achieved at a price, one that was paid for by the collapse of a fundamental Israeli policy platform just two weeks after the interim Olmert government was rocked back by the Islamic Hamas terror group’s attainment of enough parliamentary seats to form the next Palestinian government. Brutal Police Riot in Israel In Amona
By Ariel Natan Pasko A brutal "Police Riot" has ! just occurred in Israel, storming protestors with horses and swinging batons, hurting whoever is in their way. There are reports of a several hundred civilians injured including three Knesset members, Effie Eitam (knocked unconscious), Aryeh Eldad (broken arm), and Rabbi Binyamin Elon. Nothing has been seen like this in the free world since the Police Riots during the Chicago Democratic Convention in 1968. Testimonies: Teenagers Tell How the Police Beat Them
By Hillel FendelArutz Sheva - February 2, 2006 Teenagers all over the country are trying to recover from the mostly unprovoked physical blows they suffered at Amona yesterday, and even more so from the emotional duress they are experiencing. The banner draped from one of the Amona houses reads, "Every house that is destroyed is a victory for Hamas."Yechiam Eyal, 15, of Psagot, was atop one of the houses slated for destruction, together with many others. When the police arrived - stepping off the shovel of a giant bulldozer that lifted them up and crossing over the barbed wire - the boys on the roof went to one side and sat down. The Teflon Political Party
by Evelyn Gordon THE JERUSALEM POST - Feb. 1, 2006 If Bill Clinton was the Teflon president, Kadima is clearly the Teflon party. Over the past two weeks, there has been a string of disturbing revelations about the implementation and impact of Kadima's key policy initiative, the disengagement. Yet thus far, the party's public support has not even been dented. Last week, for instance, State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss published a report on the fortification of communities near Gaza - or, more accurately, the lack thereof. The government decided to fortify these towns shortly after it approved the disengagement, as it knew that the pullout would increase the risk of rocket and mortar fire from Gaza. Yet in the 20 months since then, not only has the work not been completed; in most communities, it has not even begun. Continue reading "The Teflon Political Party"

OLMERT & LIVNI - RUNNING FOR COVER
by Emanuel A. Winston January 30, 2006 Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has appointed Tzipi Livni as Foreign Minister. Olmert has assigned her the task of issuing cover-up statistics for "Kadima" on the Gaza/Hamas blunder. Livni issued a statement to the effect that "Israel (Sharon) opened the door of peace by abandoning Gaza and the Muslim Arab Palestinians slammed it shut." Perhaps, since Livni is not experienced in propaganda and disinformation, the pro-Arab State Department speech writers gave her a hand. After Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was incapacitated with a major stroke, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert had to scramble to make the Gush Katif/Gaza withdrawal look like a wise decision, and that it wasn’t their fault or that of their new Party "Kadima" that the Palestinians’ election voted an overwhelming landslide for Hamas (the most violent of the Palestinian Terrorist organizations). Hamas got 74 seats, Fatah got 45 out of 132 seats. Continue reading "OLMERT & LIVNI - RUNNING FOR COVER"
